Is 25.0 going to be released from the current main? Is that the right time to do some tests? We have rather complex resolution / process in Airflow and while for most of our CI we switched to uv for speed, we still are keeping (and will keep) complete support for pip and we can make a test PR to switch easily to pip and use GitHub URL to install pip from.

Is the current main good candidate for it ? We are happy to help to test before release :)

It will take some hour to run the tests but I might try. But if it will hold you back - I guess no need to wait, usually pip releases just work, so I am not too worried :) - and there is always 25.1 in case we find anything.

PR running here: apache/airflow#46062 -> we do not run "github" and "force pip" too often, so I might need to have a fix or two to get false negatives out. I will let you know the outcome, but again, let it not break your flow.

Generally speaking - all basic installation looks good, I had a few more places where I had to remove "pip==" (next time I hope to have it fully supported to just change version in one place). I will keep on reporting the progress.
