This release marks the GA release of rancher/prometheus-federator!

A Note on Testing and Supported Environments

As of this release, Prometheus Federator has only been tested and officially supported in a Rancher 2.6.5+ environment.

Rigorous standalone testing has not been performed across multiple non-Rancher environments, but we welcome contributions that add or indicate support for environments that Prometheus Federator can be deployed in. We also welcome contributions to add automated testing to better avoid regressions in other environments.

If you want to try Prometheus Federator in a Rancher 2.6.0+ environment, you can use the latest experimental v0.0.1-rcX version, which should show up in Apps & Marketplace on Rancher once a user follows the Getting Started docs as long as the user is not filtering out pre-release versions. Note: RC versions are not intended for use in production.

The GA version tied to this release should also work in any Kubernetes cluster (with or without Rancher), but deployment in other Kubernetes environments has not been rigorously tested so it should be deployed at the user's own risk (i.e. not intended for use in production until this has been validated).

We also welcome issues to be filed in this repository so we can better understand different environments that might be using this project!
