Cryptocurrency payment terminal project

Rationale

Commerce is an important aspect of the cryptocurrency (CC) ecosystem yet it is lagging behind in most parts of the world. Going forward, as the ecosystem grows, businesses will embrace these new payment methods and there will be demand for turn key point of sale solutions. This presents an opportunity for developing such product(s), gain know-how and establish a brand in the market.

Budapest, in particular, has very few businesses accepting BTC (or any other CC), it would be great to improve this and to help building out CC based commerce (first use case could be to enable crypto folks to buy beer for coins).

Desired outcome

Develop (or assemble using existing components) a turn key product offering that caters to certain business verticals and has the full payment cycle covered (point-of-sale, backend - currency conversion/accounting etc). The product be deployed and successfully operated in X markets.

How

• Market research - connect with small biz owners in our network and gauge interest/market intelligence on what their requirements, incentives would be to adopt CC. Local bars, street food stalls, coffee shops, etc operated by friends would be a great start.
