General

  • “where’s my recovery card?”

  • stuck on confirming firmware update (didn’t read msg, just waiting, almost hit back)

  • pin entry tutorial video came up for Tamas

  • others have passed right away

  • writing / verifying seed is a lengthy process (need pen)

Altair:

  • read the warranty
  • computer went to sleep while verifying seed (not pushing buttons on laptop, only on trezor)
  • trying to sign up to localbitcoins (to get some coins)
  • has no accounts, let’s get some from Tamas
  • unclear on whether the seed was stored on trezor servers (“you can recover without a device” makes the impression that it is)
  • thinks device allows you to 2FA to data stored on trezor servers
  • other functions? two-factor authentication

Aniko:

  • “explore more options” lead to home page of trezor.io

  • trying to transfer bitcoins into the wallet

  • couldn’t remember coinbase password

  • easily sent, immediate confirmation in other window

  • (saw “unconfirmed”, but understood)

  • “it would go through even if i unplugged the device”

  • doesn’t think the seed was stored on trezor servers

  • what does it do? “stores my money securely”

  • good compared to coinbase: more trustworthy, no recovery

  • other functions? none

  • delighted about setting “oplogo”

Tamas:

  • didn’t find recovery paper, wrote into Apple Notes

  • trying to transfer bitcoins into the wallet

  • clicked through to localbitcoins (expecting a simple btc purchase, but got confused)

  • sending from coinbase

  • pasted address, checked other screen, instant update

  • (saw “unconfirmed”, but understood)

  • wondering what “Sign & Verify” send message means

  • thinks the seed was stored on trezor servers

  • as a last step, starts reading documentation

  • Tamas: thinks that the seed is synchronized to the cloud

  • think he needs two devices (on under the carpet, in a safe – another to carry, may get lost) stolen seed: thief wouldn’t have access

  • other function? not sure, authenticated messaging

  • trying to receive from Altair: sent zcash address instead of BTC. but it was validated at Altair’s entry field
