Similarly to Steam, Hypixel provide a public API, including an endpoint where you can fetch the online presence of any Minecraft account on Hypixel.

The plugin uses two endpoints in particular:

  • The /status endpoint to fetch what gamemode and map the player is in
  • The /player endpoint to fetch the display name and login time
