Color Model and Color Spaces

Color models

RGB (additive, digital)/sRGB (standard RGB), CMYK (subtractive, print), HSL (hue/saturation/lightness, digital)

Additive: what kind of light needs to be emitted to make a color.

Subtractive: what kind of inks to apply so that light reflected from (a white) substrate (e.g. paper), through inks, can make a color. With paper, you are subtracting from its white to make colors and black.
