Onboarding to Chitralekha
Here are the steps/process for new users of Chitralekha to go through to get set up and start using the tool. It covers the whole journey: from understanding what Chitralekha has to offer in order to make the decision if it is the right tool for you, to the initial sign-up and first use.

The tool walkthrough is made possible with the help of demo videos for Chitralekha on Youtube. To begin with, it is recommended to watch the playlist of demo videos to get an overview of the tool and a basic understanding of the different workflows in Chitralekha.

- Email Contact for Signup Confirmation
After having gone through the videos, if the user decides that Chitralekha is the apt tool that will serve their purpose, the user may contact Team Chitralekha via email ([email protected]):
- Stating the scope
- Organisation name &
- Request for login details
Once the scope is clarified, login credentials and password will be shared with the user via email.
- First Login
The user may access Chitralekha using the following Link And use the credentials shared via email to login.
- Explore the Tool
Login to the tool using the various credentials to explore the different roles (Organisation Owner, Project Manager, Transcript Editor, Translation Editor and Universal Editor) tasks and functionalities offered by Chitralekha. New members may also be added by the Organisation Owner or Project Manager.
It is recommended to try one complete flow of process - Starting with transcription, then translation and voice over.
- Start by adding a new project as Organisation Owner,
- Creating a New Video as Project Manager and assigning the various tasks for the video
- And attempting a Transcription edit task
- A Translation edit task
- And a Voice Over edit task
- Revisit the Demo Videos
Revisiting the demo Youtube Playlist when stuck may help resolve most issues.
