Fur Armor
Fur Armor and Fur Padded Chainmail Armor are used to decrease the impact of Freezing.
Fur Armor is crafted using Fur Tufts in the same way most armors are crafted.
Fur Padded Chainmail Armor is crafted by upgrading Chainmail Armor with Fur Padding.
The Fur Padded Chainmail Armor Upgrade Smithing Template may be found in Chillager Outposts and in the Frostologer's Castle. The template is duplicated using Iron Ingots, with Packed Snow as its base material.
Both Fur Armor and Padded Fur Armor provide the same amount of Frost Resistance. The base Fur Armor however provides only the same armor and durability as Leather Armor. The Fur Padded Chainmail Armor provides the same durability and Armor as Iron Armor and is therefore a straight upgrade.

Tip: The 'core body' pieces (head and chest) provide more frost resistance per piece of fur tuft compared to the 'extremity' pieces (legs and feet). And so they should be crafted first.
Fur Boots and Fur Padded Chainmail Boots can be used to walk on Powder Snow, in addition to Leather Boots.
Fur Boots and Fur Padded Chainmail Boots can be upgrade into Ice Skates.
