Servo Motors

"Servo motor" is effectively a catch-all term for a motor with position control. More complicated servos include speed, position, and torque control. There are two main types of servos. The first type is just given a desired angle and the motor will automatically seek that angle and stop when it reaches there. These motors will hit a physical stop at angles 0 and the max angle (<360). The second type is given the name "continuous servo" because it can turn freely, through as many revolutions as desired. As such, they have speed, position, and torque control, giving a large feature set for users. Presently, the drive motors are BLDC Servo Motors
