How to access the Chat Room

To access the chat room users must be logged in and have a valid connection to the singularity server. If the user chooses to start Pyramid Scheme as a guest user the chat room and the player information settings screen will be inaccessible. When logged into a valid account press the TAB hotkey to open the chat room at any time while playing Pyramid Scheme. The chat room will open up as a separate window and will not affect the game in any way. The chat room can also be toggled by using the same hotkey. This will hide the chat room during gameplay and reopen quickly without having to navigate back to the main menu.

Managing Friends

How to add new friends

To add new friends into the channel field located on the left-hand side of the chatroom, select inside the text field marked "Add New Friends". Search for the player by typing their full and correct username into this field. If the string you have entered correlates to a valid user account name this friend will be added to your channel field and you will be able to message this person. If you do not enter a correct username a connection will not be made and no field will be added to the channel list.

How to remove old friends

To remove a friend and associated conversation from the chat room double click on the users name inside the channel field. This friend will be removed from your list of conversations instantly.

How to send a Message or Emoji

To send a message to a friend ensure that you have added them to your friends channel in the banner to the left. Select the field that corresponds to the friend you wish to communicate with. You will notice that when you select this entry their username and avatar corresponding to their account settings will display above the message board window. You can change your own account settings inside the Player Information and Settings Screen accessible from the Main Menu. Once you have the friend you wish to talk to selected and their name is visible click inside the textfield marked "Enter new Messages". Type your message and once done click send. Alternatively you can select the emoji button located to the left of this field. Once you have made your selection or clicked send you will see you message inside the message board window. Your username will float above the comments you have made and the comments made by your friend will have their name respectively.

How to change your Avatar or Account Information

To change your account information you must access the Player Information and Settings Screen accessible from the main menu by the button marked "Player Info". Inside this page you can scroll through a list of avatars and change the image that displays inside the avatar porthole located in the top left-hand corner of the screen. It is important to remember that which ever avatar is inside this porthole will be assigned to your account and will be visible to all other players who have channel entries with your account name. Additionally, to change your password used to login to Pyramid Scheme; input your username and old password then specify your new password and then also verify your new password in their respective fields.
